Svein,

that was a really nice post! And some nice pic's too! Wish you get better soon. Tendinitis isn't the right thing to have for an archer....
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

A great evening it was indeed! And thanks for tagging along as cameraman Svein, great post :-) hope to see you shooting soon.

I believe Kims bow was Norwegian ash (fraxinus excelsior) but i could be wrong.

Real nice country, and a great day. Now that's what I call living!

Svein, great photos of good times with good friends. Maybe I have some Viking blood in me (last name Johnson?) because your trees, rivers and mountains sure seem like a place I'd like to be from. Apple for the horse, and a dog to keep up with gathering arrows. Coffee and cake around a fire after the shoot. What a great day in Norway. Hope you heal up quick so you can shoot your bow, but until then, thanks for being the camera man and for posting and sharing your day with us.  :campfire:

Great post, enjoyed being able to travel there through your words and pictures!  Looks like some extremely beautiful scenery.

Værsågod! (you're welcome)
The Dryad Hunter on the left is an old Osage/Cocobolo/Dirty Boo belonging to our gratious host, Nils. I believe it to be a kit bow, around 45@28 and 62 or 64". Very smooth draw!

Thanks for the response....ended up spending too much time on the dryad site last night, that bow is gorgeous.

Tusen takk is a term my mother taught me and has been using for ...ever.  100% Norwegian of immigrant parents she is.
Vaersagod ... how would you pronounce that with english accent ?..... for mothers' day and all?   ;)  Might freak her out.
