I have a guy wanting to trade me a bow but it's a light for what I shoot and what I'm wanting to stay in...So my question is can you increase the poundage on a bow without increasing the brace height by twisting the string?? If so any suggestions on where to get it done and the price of this?

Thanks,
Malone

decreasing the length is one method, but prob more effort then its worth
There is more to the Hunt.. then the Horns

Decreasing the length of the bow if it is a longbow, not sure if that would work so well for a recurve.

You are much better off selling your bow and buying a different one or trading for poundage you want.
If you cut it shorter to make it heavier, you will be decreasing its value greatly.
