Larry and Chris came up last week-end for a visit. Larry had never met my wife Tammy or Chloe Beth although they talk often.
We first met Chris, on the Internet, while he was in Iraq. He purchased a Knife during the St. Judes Auction that Skyler made. They have become very good Friends and they are part of our extended Family now.
Koa, Chris' wire-haired Dachsand, came along for the trip and he kept us entertained. Chloe loved him.
We got the Rain to hold off for a while Friday night and we had a great night of Bowfishing. The rain drove us back to the Dock after a few hours. We were really into the fish when we had to go in. Chris got the Trophy of the night with a big Grass Carp.
We were not able to go out Saturday night due to the Tornados that visited the area. They did a tremendous amount of Damage only a few miles from our home but we didn't have have any damage....F-4 CLASS Tornado with 170 mile per hour winds! A lot of Families weren't as lucky.
I'll let Skyler, Larry, and Chris fill in the Details. A few Pics.....

You all are some fish stringing pros. Don you and Skyler are some great hosts and guides. Always like reading your threads. Great stuff.

First, let me say that the Wilson clan is one of the finest families I've ever met    :bigsmyl:      I quickly learned that "Aim Low, Think Big" is certainly the case when bowfishing.  I was impressed with several of Skyler's shots -- especially taking the last fish of the evening with a long, straight hit that brought in a good carp.  A big thanks goes out to Conan -- a close friend of Don and Skyler's who quickly became a friend.  He had invited us to bowfish from his impressive rig.

I can't wait to do this again.

JC, you and the Boy's have got to get over here soon. It has been a great Spring for Bowfishing and will continue to be for the next month or so....THX for the kind words Larry. Tammy and Chloe say Hello.
Randy...All you have to do is show up.
Joe...Ol' Blue is a good one! 23 years old! It is a Pearson Bowfishing rig and had a Cable on it for a string when I got it new....Just found another one for a spare..

You would be hard pressed to find a better family to spend time with than the Don, Tammy, Skyler, and Chloe Beth.

We had a great evening of bowfishing! Skyler alone shot 5 different types of fish. Both he and my dad shot most of the fish that evening. To say my dad enjoyed is a bit of an understatement.

With the weather we only were able to get out one evening on the boat but Tammy took an entire day to show around the area.

We ended up a Big Daddy's so my dad could get a bowfishing rig. Told ya he enjoyed bowfising. Tammy's patience is amazing as she stayed with us the whole time in Big Daddy's...of course we had to play with everything:)

I have more pix that Don took so once I get them edited I will throw more up from the evening.

Again I am in the middle of college courses and the term paper, midterm, and discussion topics are all due this week so I have been more busy with them than I would like to be.

Chris Surtees

Don and Sky in about six weeks my boat will be done so I am thinking we will be able to get on those rays up at good time this year.

Just deciding on the generator(s) to use now.

Forgot to give a big thanks to Conan for taking us out on his boat. He just redid his platform and did a fine job that made shooting even more fun.
