Forgot to mention, that is a cool little bow!!!

Also, I bet even MY skull wouldn`t be nearly as impressive as that tooth infested beasts`.

Tatersalad

how did you mount the skull?  Did you leave it to the ants or boil it?

Michael

Izzy

Very nice. I'd be interested to hear how you did that gar skull.

By the way, those dogfish are huge! I'm still waiting to shoot one of them around here.

Cool! So how do you like the Dorado? Oh yeah, and how the heck did you find a wife that will buy you a new bow??LOL
Mark Thornton

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

bmb

thanks guys! and to answer the questions- i let the ants clean the skull before cleaning with peroxide and drying....then filled the hollow skull with 2 part epoxy( to add strength) and then sprayed 7-8 coats of clear.....as for the dorado, well it is the quietest bow i own. no kidding, it didnt need all the silencing tricks....just a pair of string leeches and it is quiet as can be. i chronoed it and it shoots 5fps slower than my gamemaster, but thats nothing. and the wife, well she heard me talking about the dorado sooo much she just had to shut me up and buy it....plus i left the hoyt catalog out and circled at all times:)

bolong

Nice gar, nice bow, better wife!!!

Shot a bowfin in the head once and it broke my arrow. It was supposed to be an indestructable arrow, so I was able to get a new one.

Never did see a gar while bowfishing.

Good stuff though nice skull mount.
Relax,

Thanks for the idea.A northern pike would be cool also.

VTer

Very cool. I'll have to try that w/ a longnose, once I find one that dosn't need to be quieted down.
