After a long waiting my JD Berry Recurve finally arrived yesterday.  It is a beautiful bow and shoots very nice and stable.  Very forgiving even comparing with longbows.

41#@26, 62".  Lacewood and Chathen riser.  Actionwood core, Yew back and belly.  Elk nock and his signature arrow inlay.

James told me he did not make many recurves so I consider myself to be lucky to have one.  With the scarcity of Berry recurves, I would share the pictures here:

Smooth draw no stacking.  No handshock.  I am very impressed by how fast it move the 460gr arrows with just 41#.  First 3 shots at 15yd is a very tight group and have to change to 20yd so not to kill arrows.  At 20 yards the group is also tight and accurate.  I can feel the good bow really improve my accuracy now.

Nice bow. Big fan of James' work.

Thanks guys!

I did not realize James does not like to make recurves to begin with.  He tried to talk me out of that several times, but I was in love with the picture on his website.  Any way, this one takes 8 month.  Almost 3 times longer than waiting for his longbows.  But it's well worth it.
