I'm not a bowhunter, but my family is full of them.  My brother is interested in traditional bowhunting and turned me on to this site.  So, while I'm a flyfisherman myself, the techniques and heritage of traditional bowhunting are fascinating to me.  

I am also a goldsmith and artistic flytier, and I recently put those skills to work to a slightly different end.  This past hunting season, my father harvested his 100th whitetail deer with a bow.  I decided to honor his achievement by creating the Golden Arrow.  The shaft, point, and nock are handmade from solid 18-karat gold wire.  The fletching is made from kori bustard and Amherst pheasant.  The entire arrow is about 2-1/2 inches long.

I thought a forum of bowhunters with an affinity for fine craftsmanship might appreciate it.  I hope you enjoy it.
