This past Friday afternoon, I received a call from J.D. that my new MojoStik was done and ready to be picked up.  Today, my father and I headed over to J.D.'s house and met up with him to pick up my new recurve.  It's a 60" Mojostik...50lbs. @ 28" and is all osage orange with antelope tips.  This was the last of the "firewood" osage he had in stock and it turned out awesome, I couldn't be happier.  J.D. is a great guy and extremely talented.  I shot a few arrows over at his house and let me tell you, now I know why the name of his company is "WhisperStik"!  :)   I have a hunch this won't be my last one from him!  ;)

Nice piece of wood...better looking bow! Glad it turned into a bow and not firewood!

Thanks for the compliments guys!  :)   According to J.D. when he harvested this Michigan Osage, everyone told him it wouldn't be good wood for making bows and he would be better off using it for "firewood", hence the nickname.

I now have 3 of JD's bows,  2 Mojo's and a voodoo.  All have slayed blacktails for me.  Very well built, quiet and fast.  Gotta love that combination!
