Went on a short scouting / hunting trip yesterday. I`m planning on a short camping trip in a week or so and been trying to narrow down a trip to the best spot for a porker or Swamp Rooster on these WMA`s I hunt. Kinda hard cause the Water has finally fell back and every one I hunt around here has plenty of sign. I`ve been to three the last week and got in pigs on them all. Here are a few pics from Horse Creek yesterday. Mighty purty place.

RC

Almost stepped on this fella and he was real quick to let me know he did`nt like it...

Found an old hog bed....

A fine slough coming out of the "Blue Hole"..

Lotta sign

Made it down to the River

This cypress with vines caught my eye on the way out..

Found a lot of sign and did get on a group of pigs but the wind swirled at the last minute. Can`t wait to go back in the boat and bring along the tent and fishing poles.RC

Looks like a sweet day in the woods.  Good luck on the hunt.

The snake would have done it for me   :scared:  I stepped on a fat chicken snake last year turkey hunting and I'm still not over it. The flowers and pig sign was awesome though!

Hey RC, thanks for the reminder that carrying a bow in great looking country is a year-round activity. Good luck with your hunt, and post some more pics from Horse Creek when you get back.       :archer:
