Merc versus Bohning Classic, which has a larger
throat? Thanks

Mercury speed nocks are a tad wider...
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.

I shoot 5/16 in both styles and would have to say my old Mercs are a little tighter than the Bohning Classics.  The string that gives a perfect fit on the Bohning is tight at the bottom of the Merc's throat.

Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

You are going to find differences even with the same size and make. My 11/64 flo.green bohning classics are noticably tighter than the same size in solid yellow. The white ones I have are somewere in between.
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

You can skinny the Classics up with a Bit of Warm Water, and Gentle Squeezing!     Just Not Too Tight!!  :archer:
