Hoping some of you could point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a longbow, preferably one piece, that has a "true recurve" type grip. Like a grip you'd have on a bear super kodiak mag for instance. Thanks for the help.

I agree with Clint,Predator Pheonix would fit the bill.

Just ordered a td.( i know you want one piece but....) long bow and asked the bower Lynn Harrelson, he's in the sponsers page, to make the grip as close to recurve as he can. he said not a problem. Maybe just ask the bower of your liking to do the same, these guys are talented.

Chad Francis at Lost Creek ....he is a sponsor here, builds a nice shooter.

Thanks a lot everyone. The lost creek looks the closest to what I'm looking for. It seems to have a little higher wrist.
That's a good idea Muley..to just ask a bowyer if they'd make one like I'd like.
Thanks again!!

Zipper SXT or Lost Creek. Chad(LC), can and will do what it takes to get it right for you.

Rose Oak creations.   The Companion longbow has a true recurve riser in a deflex/reflex design.  I have one with bamboo limbs, 55# @ 30".  Let's just say that sometimes I think I see a vapor trail. It is smooth and fast.  I believe if you look on Brandon's website you will see the bow he sold me as an example of his Companion bow.  It is a lefty with a bloodwood riser and zebra wood accent stripe.  I will gladly endorse his craftsmanship.
Remember your most important vitiman....B positive.

The Rose Oak Companion.  Same grip that's on his recurves and plenty of meat left in the riser to make it an even higher wrist.

Brandon's work is second to no one.

Fedora might be an option.  Little large in the throat for my taste, but recurve grip none the less.  good luck!

COLongbow

I just ordered a Lost Creek, for the same reason. Gotta have the comfort and consistency of a recurve grip, but want the limb design of a longbow. Chad's bows fit the bill, and come highly recommended!

I'll second Ron Fox or you could also look for a good used Martin Vision.
