I bought a new Wapiti about two months ago. Loved the looks of it and also how quiet and smooth this bow is.
Well...I have spent everyday for those two months shooting, tinkering with BH, NP, shafts and tip wts to no avail. ARRRGH!

I can shoot the eyes out of a nat with it, but I always have mr arrows tailing left or kicking up like improper NP.

Today I was out of patience and fed up. All my other bows shoot fine. I was ready to sell it. Just figured I had a good bow, but maybe it just wasn't for me.

Then I remembered I had found a Bear stick on elevated rest hiding in my desk drawer. I figured what the heck...never used one before, but what have I got to lose?

Stuck it on, moved NP to 5/8(where it shot best without it) and presto.  I don't know why and really don't care why, but my arrows are finally laser beams.    

I seemed to always fight the grip on this bow. It was very touchy and always seemed I could never get my hand/grip in the same place every time. Now it doesn't matter, I don't think about that anymore and I love my new bow once again.

Be going after pigs next week sometime with it. I will report back.

Robert, I discovered the same thing. The problem I was having is that my arrows where bouncing off the shelf.

I found out the same thing years ago. I like the "Brush" rests and have been sticking them on my recurves since 1972. I think my issue is my 3rd finger pressure causing my arrows to bounce off the shelf.

Sometimes it really is the small things... I had a problem with shooting to the right.... I found that my cant was too extreme... I leveled the bow a touch.... Presto....Sometimes you really do have to just step back and take a look...

I experienced the same thing with my 2nd Bama. Nate changed the design a bit - cut the shelf more to center and changed the tiller slightly.

The bows shot a little bit differently as a result. One has a little more shock than the other but is a lot quicker.

When I realized that I couldn't treat them as the same bow I started shooting equally well with each. Its not really a hand adjustment, I just know how each one reacts differently with the same arrow setup.

My 2nd Bama also shoots better with a thinner string. The shock pretty much went away.

I actually prefer having bows with their own personalities...its funny how that happens.

It does get frustrating sometimes. That feeling is a good one though, when the arrows finally fly straight.
