That may work Miss Pinecone...but I am still going to make a couple calls tomorrow about camo-ing it up.  Stay tuned   :)

Dirtybird

Steve your indian name must be "man of many tall tines" man do you have some great bows.  I chatted with Brian over the weekend over my wood choices.  I don't think it matters, cuz all his bows look great.  I hope you have some luck in Alaska, sounds fun.  Oh, about the camo-dipping, you might want to cantact Bob Morrison, I'm pretty sure he does that now or knows someone that has done bows for him before.  Thanks for the pics.

Steve O

David,

I like that better than Cheif "Running Hairline"   :D    I am sure you will be happy with whatever wood combo you choose...even the most basic as this is pretty sharp.

Thanks for the tip.  My first lead on a new camo finishing process turned into a dead end when it was finally revealed there was a 250F curing process...NOT good for a recurve!

Yes Dan, I am in contact with Big Jim right now...just checking on pattern availability and timing. Thanks.

Hey Steve you have got to stop buying these bows! Every time I turn around your getting another one. It doesn't take me long to feel left out and order another one too. I've been thinking about our Alaska trip, and maybe thats a good idea not to take the other sweet bows. I'll probably have to get one like yours if nothing else as to say now we have three matching bows. Can't wait to see it on Tues.

Chimaster

Hey Steve I forgot you said Brian is going to make a 3 piece longbow. I better start saving my money, I'll have to have one of those too! I should have never retired.  :biglaugh:

joebuck

Brian does some mighty fine work. I love that Bocote bow. Excellent Bowyer!.........we missed you at PBS...
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Steve O

Joey--wish I could have went--especially now as yesterday we lost the business I was working so hard to keep   :(

On the bright side though, I shipped my new bow to Big Jim for a good huntin' bow finish last Wednesday and it came back today...Oak Leaf is the pattern.

I am going to make a BUNCH of memories with this bow

Manitoba Stickflinger

SWEET! As far as those memories...I know of a big color phase black bear that would look good in pictures with that bow. Sound good?

Nice touch on the bow Steve. Sorry to hear of the business news...Ryan

Steve O

Ryan,

That sounds like a GREAT plan!  Looking forward to hearing all the specifics on the new operation you are starting

Saw Steve's bow in person at the club last night.  Really a nice job of dipping.  Just amazing how perfect the camo looks.

Nice work Big Jim!

Bowmania

Steve,  You missed your chance to get #00001 on the 3 piece longbow.  It's going to be a Cheezehead bow.

Bowmania
I'm not putting up with this guys shit and dogging me.

Jerry Wald

thats a cool camo job...dont know if i couldve dipped that pretty bow, but it looks like you have other lookers, nice bows

Kyle Lancaster

Steve,
You'd better not set that bow down in the woods and turn around, cause you'll have trouble finding it!

Steve O

Todd--I don't want to be a glutton   ;)   2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I should be getting to the woods pretty soon and I'll see if I can't get a couple pics in its natural enviornment.

Steve O

ttt for Joebuck...

The camo dip is so detailed, if you look closely when you have the bow in hand, you can see little water droplets on the leaves that are in the pattern!

Iowabowhunter

Very nice looking bow! I have some 340's FMJ Arrows that I shoot with my compound, would love to have more arrows to shoot with my recurve, Can I ask how many lb's your recurve is? I was concerned about the arrows being spined too heavy for my bow (my grandfather gave me his 50lb Indian Archery Hawkeye recurve that he bought new in 1970-71 ish) Haven't had a chance to take a deer with it yet, but am working on tightening up my groups!
