Here' one ready to send out.  The customer didn't ask for much just brown glass, a satin finish and Walnut riser.
I used ash laminations and it's 65" 45 @ 28".  It didn't take me long to make and I figured it would end up rather plain looking.  Once it was finished and I shot it a few times, I got a new appriciation for plain, no frills, longbows so I thought I'd share.

Don't got to be fancy to get the job done as Ken says! I like also. Should be a real good tool for making meat.

You done good Mike! I'd want it a little longer though. I am still planning on a Mutt bow down the road. One that's 72" and mid 40's range with a little string follow build into it(if that's an option)

The wind is blowing about 50 MPH or I'd be outside shooting one of your bows right now. The weather has kept me off my range almost every day for the last couple of weeks. There seems to be a war going on between spring and winter. That's nothing real new for Missouri though. It'll settle down in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for sharing with us Mike!

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Yeah, I wanted to shoot it more today but the post office closes at 12:00 on Saturday so I had to set it free, after only a few dozen shots.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

Nice. I'm leaning toward "plain hunting bow" these days more than "wow what a beauty"...

Although I can really appreciate the craftsmanship in fancy footed risers and pierce points and such, I'm finding myself drawn more towards the simple bows these days.

Very nice Mike!

Looks good, hard to beat plain and simple!

Very nice looking bow. Hope you post a pic of "White Feather" when she (why are they always a she?) is finished. It'll look pretty goofy compared to a bow like that.

Like Shifting Shadow, I am liking the more simple look of bows of the past.  There is such beauty in simplicity.

My kind of bow, there is a certain amount of beauty in simplicity.
