The "experience" without being there, and the "wisdom" that Mike writes with makes the book worth waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than the asking price. It is destined to become a "classic"........and after meeting Mike last June up at Compton it became worth even more to me.

That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it !!!

What if you woke up tomorrow, with only what you thanked God for today ???

Elkchaser

I agree with Winterhawk. Mike really has a way of taking the reader right along on the hunt.
Enjoyed every minute of it.
Great read.

Ulysseys,

When you get the book, READ it.  If you pay attention and READ closely, not only will you enjoy the adventures and the stories, but you will pick up some VERY good information. Don't just skim thru it; the book has a couple different "levels".

Plenty on this site regarding Mike's book. Run a search in the AM and you'll be able to read positives until dark. A keeper for sure.

wahoo

It's a great book. Great stories and a easy read. Some of the stories have been in TBM ( I think, could be wrong)it's something I will reread over and over.

There are few few truly skilled woodsman/bowhunters in this sport that can share their extensive knowledge and adventures without sounding like they are standing on top of a mountain, trumpeting their own horn.  Mike does an excellent job, truly a humble person.  I've already used some of what I learned from his book this past season.  I loaned it to a buddy and had to fight to get it back.  Spend your hard earned money on this one, you won't regret it. I look forward to his next read!

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

I havve the version that wasn't grammar checked and wouldn't trade it for nothing.  I have a semi-photographic memory when I read so I almost NEVER read a book twice.  i read Lord of the rings twice - 15 years apart and could still quote lines and paragraphs.

This book I read twice in the same year.  I have never done that before and I will probably read it again in the next year or two.
Shut up and be quiet cause we are out here to have fun!

I would be willing to lend you my copy to read, but I think you will want a copy for yourself.  Mike wrote a great book.  I was fortunately enough to get to speak with him at the Compton rendvzous and he personalized my book for my daughter and myself.  Buy the book!

The guys HardCore, takes on challenges that would leave alot of folks at home. It's a very good book with great hunting storys and helpfull tips.

David Mitchell

It's a great read.  The guy really loves the solo hunting adventures.  Makes me want to do more of that.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.
