I had a Damascus glove that needed to be broken in and yesterday while I was getting my son a new baseball glove I saw a can of Hot glove for breaking in baseball gloves.Well I bought it and used it on his glove and was amazed at how it worked(rub it in and put it in a 300deg. oven for 3-5 min).So I tried it on my glove and it worked great I only left it in for 3 min.and it was perfectly broken in.

I bought some leather from a saddlemaker and he gave me some lanolin (used for relaxing leather) put that on my glove worked really good.

I wonder if a guy could get away with using a hair dryer for the heat?

Always just used saddle oil,,or even cooking oil.

I've always found it odd that people will go out and actualy spend money on stuff like this.

I also always throught "trad" archers were ment to be smarter and more DIY types than this.
Winning or losing is not the important thing,,the important thing is how well you played the game.

The best way to break in a new glove is shoot it.  Most can use the practice!  H

Most all store bought dressings these days have wax in them.  Wax to leather can dry out and crack.

Olive oil or neatsfoot oil is the best long term.

I have a super glove also.  I love the slick release, but boy is it stiff.  I can't see shooting a lot of bad shoots just to break in a glove.   I tend to develop bad habits fast because I figure out a way to shoot it well.  Then when I go back to what I was shooting I am all goofed up.  That is what I think keeps me going back to a tab.  I am all for a fast way to break in a new glove.
