Brother Shane and I did some scouting and shed hunting last weekend.  We got some good leads on some hunting property and found some sheds as well.  Total time shed hunting was about 5 hours.  I think we did well.  Three matched sets and 2 skulls.  Chad

very nice. Just curious how far apart were the sets? I have never found a set.

Nice, Chad!

I've spent over 50 hours looking for sheds since the beginning of February, and my total "take" for all that effort is a single 6" spike!!

It's not for lack of trying, but I'm striking out.  Congrats on your finds.

Found two sets last year, one a couple years old about 15" apart.  One fresh on either side of the fence.

Great finds you are doing better than I am out here in the west. I have found 0 so far this year. Nice to see you have had some success.

Two of the matched sets were about 300 yards apart.  One was about 40 yards.  The deer were concentrated much more then usual due to about 3 feet of snow on the ground this winter.  Last weekend there was still up to 1.5 feet of snow in some places or we would have found more.  Deer had come from miles around to winter near farmers hay stacks and silage piles.  Chad

I've been ground pounding for two weeks on my hunting props, 0.

Those three matched sets are really cool. I have never found that many in one outting. You guys must of been having a blast.

I look hard every year and have yet to ever find one single set. This year I hung chicken wire to hopefully snag a set. The score still stands at "0".

Looks like y'all had a great time and found a winner for next year

Very nice finds there Chad!!  I went out yesterday and got what the little boy shot at......nothin.  I don't have very good luck finding sheds, but did see about 25 deer!!!

shadman

Nice finds! The deer must have been yarded there for you to find that many.

JEJ

Nice sheds, and just think ... all but two of them will be even bigger this Fall!

K.S.TRAPPER

That's a good day right there    Congrats!

I saw these bucks on the way into work last night, 2 had dropped and 2 still carrying.

I saw my first buck that had dropped his antlers a week after Christmas this year and there still going.
