Guys, I am in the market for possibly a used Schafer Silvertip or a new Tall Tines.  Looking for opinions from people who own or have shot both.  I have shot a Silvertip with the checkered grip that I really like and shoots right on with my A@H.  How does the Tall Tines compare as far as grip, performance, pointability(is that a word??).  What would you choose and why?  Would you go with a 58" or 60" with a 26-27" draw?  You can PM me if you want to keep your opinions private.  What a dilemna to be in!!!!!

Thanks,
Mark

I have a 60 inch TT.Your welcome to come shoot it if your around S.E MI.

The 60 incher is very smooth for me and I have a long draw.

A 58" wont be a problem if you want to go shorter at your draw.

Mark,

There are VERY few towns in Michigan I have no idea where they are at, but you are definitely in one.

I have 2 60" Silvertips and 2 60" TallTines.  You are welcome to shoot all of them to help you make up your mind.  They are all great with my 29.5" draw and I'm sure either in a 58" would be fine.

Let me know where Marcellus is--I am always travelling around the state and would be happy to meet up with you.

Can't ask for more than that....either way you go is a can't lose....they are both great bows....I have both but really like the TT grip.

Hey Mark, I would take Steve up on that offer! There's nothing like shooting them both to decide on which you prefer.  Jr.

Steve and Eric,

Thanks for the offer fellas.  May have to take one of you up on that.

Steve, I live about 20 miles south of Kalamazoo just off of 131.  What part of the state are you in?

Thanks,
Mark

Steve O

HAH! I was in Kalamazoo Monday   :(

PM me your info and I will get in touch with you.

Steve has more TT and is closer to you.Plus he has 2 tips.Cant beat that for an oppertunity to compare.

My brother has a 58 incher with the shortest riser. He draws 28-28.5 inches and has no issues.

I got the medium 16 inch riser.I think Brian is making shorter limbs soon if not allready. That will make a 58 inch bow on the medium riser.I am pretty sure thats what he said?

Go with the one you like the looks of best. You're guarranteed that you'll have a superb bow either way.

I have several S Tips but this TT looks pretty similar. Are they as smooth and sweet shooting as S Tips?
