I'd like to try a couple flu-flu arrows,as well as those little tracer feathers some people put on their arrows. Where can I find them? I just put in an order at 3Rivers,but they didn't have them. Also, I shoot gophers a lot,and the feathers get pretty grimy and laid down after passing through a few gophers. Is there any way to prevent this,or restore them if it does happen?

Blood on feathers is hard to get off once it is dried. You can get most of it but not all. The best way is to wash it off when still wet. Any messed up feathers can be fixed after the water has dried on them by putting them in some steam like what comes out of a pressure cooker or tea kettle. Gary

You can put some of that fletch powder waterproofing stuff on them.  The feathers come out the other side clean as a whistle.  How clean is a whistle, anyway?

Flu-flu's are easy to make, or you can buy them.  Kustom King carries them, as well as many other vendors.

The feather tracers are also easy to make--you can get a pack of marribou feathers at a hobby shop cheap and have a big supply.  Just strip the feather and glue it on in front of the nock.

Silicone spray, like "Camp Dry", might help protect feathers from gopher goo.

Thanks for the help. Any more sources for Flu flu's? I don't have the set up to make my own,and can only find wodden ones so far.

I would guess most arrow sources will make flu flu's.  We do.  We normally make them out of wood but if you were to request aluminum or carbon we could do something.  I'm sure most fletchers would do the same.   We 6 fletch our flu flu's which means you use 3 full length feathers on each arrow.
