Decided to go what Jim has on hand "Parrie Rattler". These will be on a Centaur "Chimera" with a dark Cocobolo riser and a matched set of Olive Ash lams on the belly (from Mike Pyeatt at Rosewood). Jim say they will look good, so that what we'll do.

I don't know which part of MS you are in, but if you are near the Desoto National Forest you should be able to find copper heads along the forest service roads in the summer. Also the Longleaf Trace bike path is a good source in the summer ( the Epley rd. station to Sumrall area ).  Drew

Not trying to stir the pot either, but have been pondering on this.  I was Pondering before we got our official answer.  My thought was most game wardens in MS probably aren't even aware of this law.  This is a state that has no tagging system for game, and the new baiting law is so skewed that I had a game warden tell me that he had no idea how to enforce it.   I figure a few snakeskins on a bow probably wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.   You never know though, like LBR said, you may get one of those wardens that is just looking for something.  Glad that we can have em.  I was actually contemlating leaving the Morrison in the stable.    Just thinking outloud.  Thanks South MS Bowhunter for getting the skinny.

There is a northern and a southern copperhead, the southern's are grayer.  Some of the laws are crazy and most states have protection laws on native species.  In Maryland you can buy and sell a Florida king snake but not an eastern king because they are indigenous to Maryland.

I got a hunch theres going to be alot of Python on the Market, in the near future.

Spurs no problem. While Chief Adcock made it clear that a snake could be used for the purpose of decorating a bow, he also gave me the impression of being neutral on killing snakes, neither for or against.
