Been looking into them and need feed back.Would like 11/32's

I'd like to hear about them also.

from what the sites say that sell them they are suposed to be very good.

I was using them and they are very good and strong the price is good also.I have some made up the spine is 60 to 65. they have a spine chart but if you are shooting a fast bow like my R/D Tomahawk I would start with a test kit 60 to 65 spine was to weak I pull 63# at 29".

The hexpine seems to fall in the "love it or hate it" category.  Bob Burton at Whispering Wind Arrows knows about as much about wood arrows as anyone and it is all he uses, so it must have some good points.

BA, you are definitely gonna need more than 65 lb spine.  I think the Tomahawk is cut pretty close to center and shoots a hard string, so add 10 lbs, plus another 10 for a 30" arrow, that is 83 lb spine.  You can also get that spine in Douglas Fir.

Going to try some in the very near future. Will buy from WWA, Bob is a great guy.

Hexpine are 1 of only 3 softwood shafts  worth messing with IMO, the other 2 are Surewood fir and Hildebrand spruce.

Put some Hexpines to the test a couple weeks ago out stumping. An angle shot on a frozen stump with an Ace Hex-Blunt are real good at snapping shafts behind the point. Didnt bother them at all, very tough shafts!

I like them and have been through several dozen.  Never had a problem with them.  Give them a shot.

i've used dozens of hex pines, pretty tough shaft, reasonably straight, spines well all around the diameter since each shaft is made like a fly rod in six pie pieces.  try a dozen and see for yerself.

Don't like them.  Some seem to be hollow inside and they splinter and chip out if you try to taper them withe the pencil sharpener style taper tool.

Whispering Wind arrows is the place to go! I got a dozen a couple of years ago and still have four that have made it through some tough shooting. Lonnie

How do that stain?? Uniformly?? Been thinking on getting some too..

the hp's are essentially a soft wood and will take stain well.
