Talk about a smooth drawing, quiet shooting, pretty bow.All of my must haves rolled into one bow. This past weekend I was able to look over and shoot Rick Butler and Doug Gilmores bows. Theyre nothing short of spectacular bows! The price is very reasonable as well. What is the take down system used for them? Also feel free to post up a pic of your MOAB.I dont know what the back veneer was on them, kinda looked like spepele pomelle but it was awesome.

I didn't know that he made them in a two-piece, Interesting.

Since you asked:

Osage riser with curly eucaliptis(sp) limb veneers. 62" 54@27. Shoots just like my recurves.

I think folks might be sick of me speaking about them...lol
I have 2 now and I love shooting both. Just yesterday I was shooting the shorter one, 60' 47@28 from about 60 yds. I'm getting where I can hit fairly consistently at that distance with it.

Why do I shoot that distance? That's easy to answer, I love watching the arrow especially when it just plops right in there where I wanted it to go.

Both a great looking bows. I would post pictures but I'd hate to start another MOAB fever out there because there's only one cure for it and that's to call Jim and order one of your own..lol

God bless,Mudd

Izzy,Jim uses the Robertson hinge in his take downs. Jim was just at our United Bowhunters of Illinois banquet Saturday. Our Bow raffle bow this year was a MOAB built to the winners specs. They are nice bows for sure. Leatherneck tell me the woods on the top bow? Flint

Rick Butler

Izzy, You and Ray need to join us at Comptons this year.  Jim will no doubt be there and you can try out many of his bows.  Not to mention a lot of other bowyers.

Rick, you just might see us there.Ill bring my oldest boy as well.

Flint, it's the same bow. The riser is osage and I believe walnut. The limbs are curl eucaliptis.

What is it about MOAB's? While they are the Mother of All Bows. I have t osay though, that they really are not fair. I have a bunch of other bows hanging on pegs in my man cave, and it is truly unfair to them that they dont get shot near as much as they should. When I strap on my shooting glove, it always reaches for the first MOAB in reach. My other moans moan and groan, and threaten to leave me, but what can I say. They are a fantastic shooting longbow.

Thank you Mudd, apppreciate it.  I'm too broke to buy one, and too weak to resist much longer.  So Thanks....I'll just suffer in my own way...
