First turkey hunt coming up this spring any tips?

BTW...if you want to go real light, and only want to use one decoy(especially early in the season)....I'd go with only a jake.

Back when I still gun hunted I had very little decoy reaction to my lone hen. One year, before the season started I converted my hen to a jake with the help of a little cat whiskers beard, and some red and blue magic markers.

The reaction to the "jake" was amazing!!

Even now no matter how many hens I have out, a tom will 100% of the time walk right past hen decoys to get to the Tom/Jake decoy...100%!(my experience)

Thanks Curt. I'm planning on hunting mid-to-late season. It sounds like my three decoys will give me some good flexibility.

Patience's and woodsmanship these two will get you more gobblers than anything else.After you turkey hunt a couple years you'll under stand what I mean.
