Well the dates are set for the 4th annual Rough Mountain Rendezvous.... this year we will be hunting the week of October 23rd - 30th.  This hunt is open to anyone that would like to join us.

If you are interested or have any questions just shoot me a pm or email me at this address:

I was up there yesterday pulling the last of my stands down and doing a little scouting. Saw lots of deer sign and several deer.

anyone that has made this hunt will recognize this camp fire less the snow of course.

another shot of the campsite

I've been hunting this one ridge for over 15 years now. This is one of the original blazer tacks I had used to mark the trail going up to my stand location.

This is the view from up on the ridge I have had much success on. Got nicknamed "Rob's Roost" many years ago.

My life long hunting bud Ed Frye and another view from up on the ridge.

This is the bathing hole. Nothing like a nice long COLD bath after a few days of hunting.

The wife has several interviews down in Charlottesville in a couple of weeks. If we're moved down by then, I'd love to join ya in camp. I usually hunt over in Bath Co. with some buddies, but I'm always looking for new places and new faces.

Josh hope you can make it.  Should be a really great year.

For those of you who are thinking about coming check in on the Virginia Thread for updates. I will be headed up to Bath in the next few weeks to do some scouting if anyone is interested.
