Welcome!

I notice plastic vanes on at least one arrow in the picture. You don't want plastic vanes if your shooting 'off the shelf'.
Get some matched arrows and if you start not to have fun- let us know.

We have never had to actually deal with that~ but I am sure we could give it a try for you.   :)
THE VOICES HAVEN'T BOTHERED ME SINCE I STARTED POKING THEM WITH A Q-TIP.

Actually, they are all feathers, they are just some old arrows my Father had & the vanes were broken & brittle, so I had the local archery shop put new feather vanes on them. Probably looked like plactic due to the poor light.

Thanks anyway, it's simple things like that that I wouldn't even think about, or know anything  about.

Welcome to the Gang, Wesley!  Cool bow, too.  The Roots were very good bows in their day.

Measure the distance from the string to the grip, it should be 8-9".  This is called the brace height or fistmele, and looks a bit high in the pic.  Could just be the picture, tho.  That Cavalier tab is top shelf, too.

Enjoy the journey!

Rick

Welcome Wesley.

If you post the photos of your bow over in the Trad History/Collecting forum, someone will be able to give you some info about it. Or PM George D. Stoudt!
