Check out those bass.  They sure don't grow like that around here.

You just give me some great ideas for mine.Adeeden give me the coolest cane arrow with knapped head and turkey feathers to hang up in my man cave.

Killdeer

Entirely too tidy.

Awesome set-up! I love that TallShip carved in the Moose antler. Wish I had room for a Man Cave, but that's one of the negatives of living on a 27' Sailboat. Hey, wait a minute, my whole boat is a Man Cave! Just not much room for too much cool stuff.

I have my Cave, but in reality, I pretty much rule the basement. My shop area is across the end of the basement, but we also have our shooting lane with a bag target on the other end. In the winter months, I sneak down there after dinner, shoot my bow, tinker in the shop and listen to MArk Levin's radio program.

I have plans to bump the back wall out another 4-5 feet and build some new cabinets and workbench so I can add a reloading  station. On the opposite side of the wall are several mounts and racks, pics and other odds and ends hung up with a camo netting background. I'm gonna put that on the end wall in the cave, along with some beadboard paneling. I recently added the recliner of my Dads my Mom gave me. He always liked to hang out in his man cave, having his chair is a special addition to mine, and when I sit in it, I think of him.

The Cave is the most important part of the house.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

Ahh!!! A few design ideas for we old bachelors.
Must say I love it. Now I'm only wondering where there will be space for the privy and extra bedroom in case of visitors.  :knothead:    :help:

I think it's nice but knowing Jerry I bet he'd be willing to admit that it "is" and always will be a "work in progress"... How bout it Gray Buffalo?

Both of the above pictured are something I can only envy as there's no room in the house for a "man cave" unless I want to tackle cleaning out the attic and its 27 years of stored treasures of the daughters left behind stuff my wife sees as precious.
Yea right! I may not be the sharpest stick in the pile but that's a battle I won't start to fight knowing I'd lose it from the "getgo"...lol

God bless,Mudd

PS I'd love to see more bowhunter's hideouts.

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

The top bass weight was 14# 5oz and the other was 10# 1oz taken out of lake Jackson Fl.

As for the wheel bows the old 1972 model is mine and the little one is my daughters. Yes I had a brain fart.

Killy: My wife made me clean it up before the pic's were taken.

The Moose antler is from Alaska and my wife's cousin did the carving.

This hole in my basement is my sanctuary and a place to clear my mind in the cold winter months and the 95* + heat in the summer.

Mudd Every thing I have is a work in progress

Thanks for the kind words

Great cave.  I have to admit that I'm a little jealous.

Ahh the MAN CAVE- gotta put it in caps because it is manly, lol.  Dad has one, but it isnt manly, the only thing manly about it is the musky on the wall.  I have one, although mom calls in the sunroom, lol.  But it is mine, after dinner anyway.  But I do everything in there from breaking leather to fletchin arrows.  Cant wait to have a REAL mancave

I just started mine, its kind of small at 8'x15', but it will do. unfortunatly I ran out of boards and need to get more logs to cut up so I can finish the back wall and ceiling.

Eastern cedar walls cut 3/8" and planed to 1/4" left live edge and double layered.

Close up of walls, showing edge and grain detail, finished with clear shellac.

1/2" thick Zebra wood laminate flooring aquired at a local closeout chain for $.69 sq/ft!! Wouldn't have chosen it to go with the walls, but couldn't beat the price!

I just got an antique desk that will be perfect for flytying and working on guns, lots of drawers! Also got an antique cedar chest to put the wool in. Will be making shelves, bow rack, flyrod rack, etc. over the next few months. Mounts and pics will go in as soon as it is finished

First thing I noticed were the size of those bass, 14# holy cow!!!!!
