I was wondering if anybody here had made sheaths for their 2 blade broadheads? I know it should be simple but after trying twice now all I have to show for it is frustration. Any help and possibly pics would be greatly appreciated.

Hi   I am not sure if this is what you mean by sheath but this works for me in my plains style quivers .Its just some heavy leather cut to 1/4 inch above broadhead size then I contact cement the two pieces together but just 1/4 around the outer. Then I drill them out and add some artificial sinew for a bit more strength. Been using them for years never had a b/h cut through.I keep them greased with petroleum jelly and simply pull out an arrow slip off the sheath and into my pocket then when I am travelling again it slips back on and into the quiver.

broadhead hoods are too easy to make.  just flap the leather over the head to size it, cut it. punch holes for the stitching, stitch up, good to go!  

I trace around the broadhead on heavy paper then add 3/8" all the way around to make a template. Use the template to cut two halves plus about a 1/4" welt to protect the stitching. Barge or contact cement the welt to one half, then the other half to the welt. Punch holes 1/8" from edge 3/16" apart and stitch with artificial sinew. I add a piece of lacing to tie the sheath to the shaft.

Justin...I do what mahantango does basically...I like real heavy leather in my sheaths so I add one step...I soal the two halves in rubbing alcohol and place it over the broadhead...this shapes it exactly like the head it will hold. I use spring clamps to hold it in place around the edges. THe alcohol evaporates very quickly...much faster than water. The leather dries in place and it forms a rigid sheath that perfectly conforms to the head...good luck

Here's what I use.  Remember, you don't want to store your broadheads in the leather sheaths, because some tanning processes will produce rust on the blades over time.    

Yeah, I made mine similar to Rob's, about 20 some years ago. Work great in a backquiver or plainstyle.

Also, like 4est, attach each one to the other with some bowstring or art. sinew, when pulling an arrow out, the weight of the other arrows will pull the booty off.

Scrap leather, an old purse, or boots, even vinyl, or double overed duct tape will work!
