Military surplus store,Mittens with wool inserts.  

I have a pair of pile lined Ragg wool mittens with a deer skin palm that I have had for 34 years, wow that's scary. I can wear my tab with no problem. I have a piece of heavy velcro hook on my jacket and when I need to take it off I just rub it across the velcro and it slides right off and I'm ready to go. I can shoot with the mitten on the bow hand no problem but can take it off the same way.

I would run it by Mark, Mike, and David.  They are probably very knowledgeable about mittens.
