I've got the chance to buy a horne's longbow from another tradganger (pastor Denny Klienmen from Michigan) deer friend too.

I need to know how the mass weight is on these bows? What do you think of the grip? etc... Any thoughts?

Thanks.

If you could compare it to other longbows that would be good... I've shot a bunch of them...

The grip is unique, you either like it or hate it, Light in the hand, fairly quick for a d shaped bow. I've owned several, most are quiet, but had a one piece once that had a twang you couldn't get rid of.Just my opinion, and you know what they say about those(lol).

I love mine.  It's very light, easy to carry around hunting.  I REALLY like the grip, more so than any bow I've shot so far.  Mine is very quiet, I'm using catwhiskers.  I recommend it.

I have had 4 so I guess I like em just fine.I still got one in the stable.

They are faster than about any other D shaped bow when braced. They have a bit more reflex than some D bows. The limbs also a tad wider than a deep cored longbow. The double carbon/bamboo is very very fast with little handshock.Mark says the tonkin bamboo model shoots a bit softer and slightly quicker than the maple cored bows.

I think the Horne has a little more wood in the riser than say dwyers original longbow,GN Critter Gitter or J.D Berry style bows so a little more mass weight in the riser I believe. Its reinforced with phenolic so that cant hurt with stiffness and strength

The grips nothing dramatic. An index and a little wider across from side to side below the locator than some bows. The throat is smallish with a thumbgroove. Its good for consistant hand placement and the arrow site right on top of the hand.
