Anyone attached to their bows?

1958 Black Hawk (Cravotta Brothers) Yellow Jacket longbow. 64", marked 38#'s @ 28. It is actually more like 41#'s @ 28.

This is a maple core D longbow with white glass on the belly and yellow glass on the back.

This was my Dad's bow for whitetails. I remember accidentally shooting an arrow into the garage door of our neighbor "Mrs. Bush", a widow, who according to local kid legend was not one to cross.
Anyway, the bow means a lot to me and I shoot it when I can.

Its a lot like a beautiful dancer- if you can keep off her toes you'll have a great time...

I don't think that living in the dog house is a good idea, so... I'll never part with the TFV Widows my wife gave me. On the other hand I like to buy, sell, trade like mentioned above. Not a true collector per-say but dig the looks of stuff out there and if it's 47-51# @ 26" ... Look Out!

I don't think I'm really attached to my bow. But, if you look at her the wrong way there will be a fight!

I always think I have a bow which I will never part with, funny thing is that changes from time to time.

Im will keep them all till I die. But my faverits are my first two a Howitt bandito 28" 55@ 29 and my AMF wing 58" 60 @28 Their my to go bows some time ,lots of times they both go hunting with me.

I went to Anchorage (our big city in alaska) for my archery license test. On the way back I stopped to get a burger. There was a couple of shady looking guys hanging around outside, so I went back and locked my truck. As I walked away I realized I was more concerned about my bow than my truck !

I have two R/H recurves that I have had since I first got back into Trad bows. One a friend made and gave the bow to me and has since passed on. This bowyer made a lot of bows and donated them or gave them all away.

I shoot L/H now and this persons bows, bring really big money I will never sell it. I get it out to shoot once in a while and I think of the first day I met him and his generous offer to give me a recurve. My life changed that day.

The other is a recurve a close friend and I made. I took my first 20 deer with that recurve. I will never get rid of them.

When I travel for hunts my bows always go in the hotel or motel with me. I won't leave them in a truck.

I love my Morrison's... and I have a few that I won't get rid of... to many memories. I've got one that I've owned twice, on the lighter side for me... Kinda feel like it may be the bow I grow old with even though I've never taken a game animal with it as of yet...

But, I also like my Thundersticks...

Oh, and I've got a Kwyk Styk, and a Dryad on the way too... Maybe I'm a bit more fickle than I think...

Even though I like to play with other bows, my Morrison's are my stand-by/goto bows... Never know when you will find another bow that will be your "goto" bow...

My Kempf Stealth and my original Stewart Multi Cam T/D will never be sold or leave this shop in anyone's hands. Too many years of good service, like family.

i've got an all bocote schafer that has been incredibly lucky for me. incredible mojo.since the purchase, i've shot one bear, whitetail and a moose. haven't missed a shot at big game with her. won't mention the grouse i missed, but already had a moose in the freezer.

I have an old Ben Pearson Power Jet fiber glass long bow I can't let go of. I bought it when I was a kid in wyoming at a garage sale for $2. I have let all of my nephews and my daughter use it,but I always get it back when they out grow it. It started the archery habit for me,just two many memories.

My rosewood Howatt Hunter (56#@28") and my Chekmate Cascade takedown (62#@28") aren't going anywhere. Others in the collection might stay for a long time but could be traded if the right opportunity presents itself.

There's a Blacktail TD that is hanging on my rack that will stay with me forever. It has some very figured myrtlewood limbs. That wood was taken from a tree that grew west of where I live. Made by a fellow Oregonian. It's a keeper. Then there is the one piece Blacktail that is snakewood and lacewood. Another keeper!

I have an Old Pearson "Mach One" 'Curve that will go in the 6' Hole with Me!! That is Unless I can Pass it to My Grandaughter!

That Little Bow Puts Any Arrow I Put In It, Right Where I am Looking!! It was My Companion for my Very First 3D Shooting Trad., and it Performed Better than the Wheels I had been Using!!
