Pat B., your work is really neat....For that matter so is everybody's work. Really nice stuff you guys make, I love to see the homemade goodies.......

This is a quiver I finished up yesterday for the son of a friend. The fur trim, mink face and tail are from my Mom's old mink stole. The strap is adjustable and it and the pouch are removable so the quiver can be used for left or right handed shooters.
The upholstery leather for the body of the quiver was sent to me by Ruddy(broketooth)and the tan colored leather is commercial tanned elk hide. The buttons use to attach the strap are osage rounds.

that mink reminds me of the little critter in ice age thats after that acorn constantly...to cool.

here is one I just finished, its my first for back quivers. I have a knife that I put a stacked leather  handle on that will go on the back side of it. The knife is 15" long so it will fit nicely on the underneath side of the quiver. There are some other things I am going to add to make it pretty too.

Here's a back quiver I made.  I wanted something sort of barbaric looking and used all the irregular hide edging for trim work.  A forked antler serves as a pocket clasp, and deer teeth and fish vertebrae make the tassle.

Recycled Woolrich pants.  One leg made the quiver body.  The other leg made the strap.

Here's a few I made.  Functional is about all you can say, about mine.  Some of these guys do really beautiful work.  Good job guys!!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!
Happy belated birthday to me!
I finally made myself a quiver! You know how they say a mechanics car is all the time broke down? Well, the quiver maker hardly has time to make himself a quiver! But I finally made myself one, and just finished it up.
It's made of oil/wax tanned medium 6oz brown cowhide, with natural colored 4oz Bison overlay. I also cut my own lace from the same bison hide, and stitched with white thread.
It has an Eastern Red Cedar spine under clear Bow-Tuff.
And I made a tan and pale yellow woven wool strap to match. Click the photo for a slideshow:

I wish me a Happy Birthday, I wish me a happy birthday............
