I been thinking about ordering a second Great-Plains SR Swift.  I'm thinking about a black phenolic handle with a bocote arch and black phenolic grip and trimed with maple border stripes and going with bocote limbs with black tips.  How do you guy's think it would look.

Fantastic! Do it and send pictures.

How do you like your GP Swift? I have a GP Palo Duro B Model Take Down but always wanted a Swift.

Not exactly what you mentioned but here are a few pics of my RER which is a Bacote arch with Macassar. these at least show the bacote arch with a darker contrast.

Love the way the dark wood makes that beautiful Bocote just about glow. Gooserbat, that should give you a clue how awesome your combo will look. Those Great Plains have awesome curves too.

Yes I love my swift. It shoots better than I do and is dead qiuet as well as quick.

I talked with Bill today and he said it wouldn't be a problem so I'm still thinking about it.  Whether I have one built or not It will still be a month or so before I order.  The whole reason I want another one is I may finaly have opertunity to hunt Alaska in 2011 and I want to pick up a few more pounds of draw# before I give Bullwinkle a try.

I think that bacote/phenolic combination would be a great looking bow. I've never owned a swift, but the 2 or 3 "B" model takedowns I had shot very well and looked good doing it.
