Now as I approach my 67th yr. I increasingly find the solitude of the woods and a snowy day to be peaceful, inviting and timeless.

I love the seasons and winter is no exception.  Warm temps will be here soon enough, so we try to enjoy winter to its fullest.

Snowshoeing to sights like this,

and this.

Enjoying Winter Carnival

Family snowboard outings...

...and laid out carves.

Snow tubing.

A 2K blizzard tour of the neighborhood.

And of course, there's digging forts, building snowmen, sledding, and snowball fights.  Spring will be here soon enough.   :)

About 6-8 weeks of winter is okay, but these 6 month long winters we have here are too much.  I'm lookin' for a new place to hang my hat. The elk hunting is nice but that's only a few weeks out of the year.
