Winter is great, but I know others might be in a world of hurt when a place like East Texas gets a heavy dose of snow!

Rufus

I like winter, not the best, but as old as I'm getting I love having a go at all the seasons. Got lucky today and had a beautiful stumping day. Mud, snow and SUNSHINE.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

Red Beastmaster

When I was younger I skied, snowmobiled, and ice skated. Absolutely loved winter.

Thirty five years later I have a bum knee and sore back. Today I shoveled, plowed, and ran the snow blower 'til it croaked. Can't say I enjoy winter much anymore.

I love Fall but could do without long winters.  Widow

Count me in...I do love winters. Of course, my job is in a large storage cooler, so I'm kind of used to lower temps. You can have any temps over 70 as far as I'm concerned. I honestly clean other peoples sidewalks when the snowblower comes out! I have fun with it, and my neighbors love me. Or better yet, break out the snowshoes for a few hours. You'll usually have the serenity of the woods all to yourself.

I love that too. In the woods quiet, my bow, some judos, some broadheads and a few scared bunnies as I snowshoe along.

The snow is great. The wind I could do with out though. HA HA

I've living in Michigan my whole life, aside froma 5 yr stint in the USN. I was stationed in southern California, and by the time I got out, I could not wait to get home, the thing I missed more than anything was the change of seasons.

So. Cal. had 2, Early and Late concrete jungle season.

Winters in my part of the state arent all that bad, really the only thing I don't like is commuting to work when the snow is flying. Its not the snow that bothers me though.

We get a stretch of frigid cold temps in Jan and sometimes Feb, but other than that its pretty tolerable. A little small game hunting, some ice fishing and when its nasty out, its a good time to build arrows or tie up crawler harnesses for spring walleye fishing.

Winter is what you make of it.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

Barney

I wouldn't mind winter as much if we had more snow....all we've had mostly is cold and wind.

Bonebuster

A MILD winter is fine with me.

Snow and cold for a time, but just enough to appreciate nice weather.

Hang in there guys and gals...daylight is getting longer, and the sun is getting stronger.
Soon cycle 1 will be here, then the 4th of July,
then Thanksgiving, and then we will be having the same discussion. Don`t wish away the days, even the cold ones. They move too fast on their own.

Right on, brother. I say give me all the snow I can handle from the first day of bow season through Dec. 25. Then, I'm gonna recommend Spring begins on Dec. 26 with temps in the 70s F.

Now who do I see about gettin' this done?!?          ;)

I gotta say, that I still love it. I have somewhat of an out door job, and it doesn't bother me a bit.
