I went with the ironwood longbow to get the bamboo limbs. It might just be me but feel bamboo brings out the best in any longbow .

Preacherman,  That's is  the bow(PCH)I'am looking  at. The  PSR was the  one I wanted until the PCH   came out. I would like to come down and shoot that bow, but working 13 on 1 day off its hard to fined time. Will be at the TBA shoot in Jun. but will be at the flatrock shoot before that. Thanks

Polarbear, that's what I am afraid of. I will want more then one bow...

Biggie, I do like that osage...

From the Widow bows I have owned/or shot standard model to X models there's not much difference between them shooting wise or FPS wise all things being equal.I can tell a slight difference in feel between osage, bamboo, maple core but you need to have the bows side by side and shoot them. Still they are just alittle different nothing bad about any of them. The exotic models are my favorite mainly because of looks I will admit that up front. Its nice to pick everything out and have that one of a kind custom when you are spending around a $1000 just go ahead and save the extra $200 and do it right from the start if you can swing it. Other wise you will be looking to sale your standard model to buy a X model within a year trust me I have been there several times   :D

Selfbow,

As a BW owner for a bunch of years, and as someone who has owned the "basic" Graybark, and the more "exotic" X-models, I can say that IMHO, there is very minimal performance difference between bows of the same model (For instance, comparing a PMA-Graybark to a PMA-X)

Where you might notice a slight difference in performance or "feel" is when you compare a longer-riser PMA to a shorter-riser PSA, for instance; or a 60" PMA to a 64" PMA, etc.

IMHO, the X-model just gives you a prettier bow, but it won't perform any better than the tried and true "basic" Graybark or Autumn Oak.
