Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

I was thinking King Arthur, Lord o the rings, Bravehart maybe even 300 with the arrows blocking out the sun.

The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn, you don't get better than that, especially with Howard Hill making the shots.

WOW...good list going.  I loved Woody Strode with that longbow in Professionals.

Another one not mentioned is "Hard Target" with Claude Van Damm.  A co-star was Wilford Brimley playing a crusty old man who eats oatmeal to combat his diabetes.  He also uses a recurve (Martin Hunter, I think) and a back quiver full of arrows to help dispatch the pukes.  Good action and plenty of trad bow shots.

I just picked up Deliverance of e Bay for a couple bucks.  Hope its good.

There is also a NEW Robin Hood movie coming out soon starring Russel Crowe. But I think these newer movies have too many special fx,not real shootin' like Hill did in the original.

My personal pick is the original Robinhood and Deliverance with Burt Reynolds
Independent Bow Hunter

I thought Rambo was shooting a wheelie bow. Might be wrong as it's been awhile.....

In addition to some of the other good ones mentioned, how about the Kenneth Branagh version of Henry V?  Great flick, outstanding acting, the best fiction writing available (Shakespeare, for pete's sake) and the longbow saves the day.

That's some good stuff.

I liked the '52 Robin Hood with Richard Todd.  That's the one that got me started.
