I think I'm going to start shooting with you in the basement.  :)
She has shot both a compound and a recurve in the past but said she wants to shoot the sons compound, she said it will be easier on her back and neck. She had back surgery a bunch of years ago so she thinks the wheelie bow will suit her better. I could care less. I'm tickled she finally wants to.

Wonderful, regardless of equipment.Family involvment is a great thing.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Give her time. She may come all the way over to the light side, congrates, wish mine would say that to me.  :)
Keep the wind in your face and the sun at your back.

Terry,
I envy you - wish my wife was open to the idea of shooting with me.
As said before - the equipment is not important - it's being able to spend the time together and enjoy.
If your wife wants to shoot with you - just think of all the extra opportunities you will have to get out shooting.  Instead of "OK dear I'll take you shopping again" - you will be sayign "OK dear I'll take you out to the 3-D shoot again"

Keep it fun. Over here I'm breaking in the lady friend with recurves, and breaking balloons proves to be fun at any age...great feedback. There's also no argument when I purchase vintage target bows. I call them "cupcake bows"...and she gets to share some of the excitement at being able to shoot yesteryear's fine woodwork for much less than it would cost to have something comparable made today. It's a win-win...especially as it has the makings for good times/good memories. Rick.

My wife started shooting a compound 3 yrs ago.  She became very proficient with it killing a buck every year.  After she shot a nice buck this year in November she said she wanted to switch to trad.  :bigsmyl:   I said I can hook you up.  Started with a 35 Trad Tech longbow.  She shot it for about 3 months working on form.  Then I let her shoot my 46# ACS CX.  Needless to say, I won't be getting it back anytime soon.  It's a lot of fun shooting with her no matter what equipment she uses.  You'll have a blast.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

Good for you, mine unfortunately has no interest.
More bows than I should have!

Great news!  Now she won't be able to bellyache about the occasional "errant" shot...
