the bow is only as good as the shooter is,so with that being said not every bow will work for every person,thus why we all have certain bows that work better for us.

I have spent a bunch looking and trying out waaaay too many...finally found "my bow" and it's a Morrison Shawnee/Dakota.  This one even has the old bamboo limbs [2 sets].  I have many very nice customs including some that cost alot more.

This is truley the "best of the best" for me... I shoot it better than any bow I have ever owned [ including my recurves ].  

i always have to read these threads just to see what trends tend to come about...usually none

A better question might be "What longbow can you shoot most accurately?" or something like that.

So far my A&H ACS 66" 3pc.. Tried a few others and plan to try some more. That whats makes it FUN and INTERESTING. Need to settle in on one closer to Hunting Season. Still 6 months away.

If you can shoot well, you can shoot ANY bow well, the key is what bow you can shoot well without having to think about it. It's an unconscious extention of you. The difference between them can be subtle, but when you shoot "the bow" you will know."

Any longbow in Byron Ferguson's hands

i have had high end bows and middle of the road bows.best longbow for me was mohawk with a large locater grip.i have found the bow i was meant to shoot though,cari-bow tuktu one piece recurve.i shoot this thing lights out.thats because it just feels so right in my hand and hits right where i look with great consistantcy.just have to find "your" bow.

I personally do not think that it is ALL the shooter. If it were we could either shoot any bow made or non of them at all and never find "The One"! The perfect bow for you will be the one that feels good in your hand, like an extension of your arm, AND is the most forgiving of your individual deviations from perfect form! That's the trick to finding your "majic bow" whatever style of bow that may be. Have fun and enjoy the search!  

It's the shooter not the bow.
The most accurate longbow I've ever owned was a Samick SLB69.
To look at it was a piece of junk,the grip was so fat I took a rasp to it a couple of times to get it even close to my hand size,and I don't have small hands.
Since I was stupid enough to give that bow away,I've owned a couple of up market longbows an while they shot Ok,they never felt as good or shoot quite as well for me as the old Samick.
I think the main thing that made the Samick so good for me was the fact I owned it 6 years,it was the only bow I owned and I shot it almost every day.
Now days when somebody shows me his latest wonderbow,I don't say much because I know 90% of them will be showing me something different in a year or so.

No bow has built in accuracy. Byron's bow wouldn't hit the side of a barn in the hands of an inexperienced novice. Some are easier to shoot. An ole wood stick bow will do as good as any in the hands of a well practiced expert I believe.

I just got a Bob Lee Signature Longbow. Wow! I hit the target the first time. Then I got close to the bulls eye on two more arrows. I gave it to my Brother to use. He hasn't shot since boy scouts. He beat me stump'n with it.

I can't say its the best but it sure is good. Not expensive either.

Morrison Cheyenne with Foam limbs. I like the weight of the riser matched with his foam limbs, seems like it works very well for me at least. But at the end of the day I'm loving my HH Big Five, even if I don't shoot it as well as my Cheyenne's.

Any longbow can hit the mark with an accurate shooter.

I second the ACS style bow made by A & H. They are true shooters!!!!!
