If you guys think Fred bought the Super Slam you don't know diddly.
   Yes his sponsors helped but he is also an outfitter and worked hard to get where he's at, trading hunts with other outfitters (read his article in TB).
    It takes alot more than money it takes dedication and hard work time away from family.
  This didn't happen overnite he spent years to accomplish this.

 The one thing ya'll did have right Michelle is cute.

The man set a goal and got it done.  My hat's off to him.  The guy can flat shoot a bow under tough hunting conditions.

Tater I didn't say he bought it..I don't think anyone did. Yes there are many sacrifices he and his family made for that goal..heck I hope his wife goes for it and he and they support her too.

But it takes money/time and horse trading or something to do it is all...

I don't think there is ONE person on this site that wouldn't love to just shoot arrows..hunt wherever they wanted/when they wanted/take family too (if they had the money).

Who wouldn't...crap that is HEAVEN to me. Now if my wife would hunt with me...hmm that has some big advantages at night in a cold tent alright  :D

I didnt mean to start a debate about fred. Im more concerned with his setup. If he was 24-27 drop dead hottie female then maybe I would care but im just concerned with his bow.

Fact is he got the super slam done... however he was able to afford it I dont care. I will never get it done. The whole point is that if I can make my setup equal the momentum and KE of his setup, I will have confidence that I can take down anything I should desire without going out and getting all new stuff.  I will be practiced and ready when the time comes. It takes years to achieve shooting excellence with your setup. I just wanted to get started on the right foot.  Now that I have a ballpark of what kind of knockdown power it takes, im ready to start perfecting my bow weight and arrow choice.  It will not be a palmer or axis arrows, or phantom broadheads...... ok i might try the broadheads.

To each his own but this was the best way I could think of to find out if my untested setup could take down anything I might desire to hunt in the next 40 -50 years.

Fred is a good guy, obviously a good hunter and shot.

People should worry more about themselves sometimes. Been that way as long as I've been around.

I do worry about myself. I wake up every morning wondering if the guy who has his head on my pillow has enough sense to figure out how to get out of bed. Super Slam? In my dreams!! I better go back to sleep and make believe I am Fred Eichler.

Saw Fred make an incredible 30+ yd. shot on a Coues deer in Arizona. Deer was slightly Quartering to,Fred said shot would have to be perfect,I agreed. Buck only went 30yds. down in sight. I was impressed to say the least. I am really impressed with his enthuseiasm,sp. He really gets excited,and so do I! Fred's the man! Nothing wrong with speed,if thats what you are into,we are all individuals,thats a good thing.

i just look one of first the video of FE "traditionnal harvest", he was shooting aloy arrow and probably 3 blades broadheads, he made good an deadly shot but no one of his arrows pass through ... do you think he was shooting a lighter bow a this tis time ? do you think it's only because he shoot now "thin" arrow ? the profile of his actual Muzzy Phantom ????

It must be Fred Love!  Haven't seen the shot since I'm out of town.  So what's so special about shooting 54# @ 30.5" and using an arrow under 500 gr?  Did I miss the boat.....Oh I get it Skinny strings.........

Guess I'd better place an order for a new bow and some sub 500 grainers.

Seriously, not taking away from Fred's accomplishments, but it's not the bow that got it done, it's the man.

My set up: Predator Classic, 53# at 28, pulls 57-58 at my 29.5" draw, shooting beman 400s- weighing in at 600 grains, avg 200-205 fps.  Add the razorcap and they will kill any animal that walks NA.  As stated- it's not the tool that gets the job done, its the guy that knows how to use it....
