If you look on Ric's page you will see my bow, or at least the riser.  A left handed chinook.  It is 68", 56#@28" (It is marked as 61# but isn't. Perhaps over time and the abuse I have subjected it to it just lost four pounds but since I draw 28.5 it is a small matter)  We used to say on the web that Ric had an accuracy package in the riser.  If you point it, it will go there.  I have around fifteen bows from a shrew to a BW MA II but the chinook is my go to bow. It is the sweetest shooting bow I have ever shot.  If your an archer than this bow will perform for you.  It is not unusual for me to shoot six inch groups at thirty and if I don't I know who to blame.  The undefinable part of this bow is that I can hit with all my bows from the HH Wesley Special to an osage ELB and even a kids fiberglass bow.  But the Chinook just feels right and is THE bow.  I think that only a longbow shooter would really understand what I mean.

I had one it was canary wood limbs and a bunch of riser woods I forget,, they have a unique grip that I liked but other friends didn't but its basically a nice fat grip so if you don't mind hoklding some wood you'll love it but if your more of the great northern Broom handle grip kind of person you might not...   it tuned easy and was stable because it was a mid-flex reflex deflex and not too radical..  I don't remember it having any shock if anything it wasn't bad enough to remember.

lastly I thought Ric was done making bows or only doing on a very selective basis but no gripes here on anything about my chinnok.

finally--> if anyone out there has it "the springer 64" 60@27"  I have many many bows to offer in trade to get it back, 8^)

I have one and it is probably the prettiest bow I have, and it is a pleasure to shoot.  It is quiet and is one I shoot often.  Ric does nice work, my bow has a arrow design inlaid in the back of the bow, just a all around neet bow.  I would post pics but this computer stuff is still too smart for me.

I had one and sold it in a moment of sheer insanity.  Like all of Ric's bows (I have four of his recurves), the Chinook is beautifully built, shoots where you point, and is a pleasure to shoot.  Of course, your best bet would be to try one before ordering...that way you could determine whether the bow's grip and overall characteristics match your personal expectations and shooting style.  You might also call Ric and talk to him about the Chinook.  He is a great guy who is always willing to help.
