5'10" 29.5" with low grip, 30" with a light weight recurve. Although heavier weights do compress that down as far as 28". I checked at almost eighty pounds and I wasn't getting back near as far.

yes, but it makes for a bloody mess when shooting heads that are sharpened on the trailing edge..... don't ask me how I know....   :scared:
