Check out the thread on axis vs. mfx.

I shoot axis and love them... little pricey though so I am switching to Epics.

BTW, micro-diameter arrows can be difficult to tune IMHO and experience due to how the window is cut (on center, past center, etc...).
God Bless,

Axis nano 340, with a 100 grain brass insert and 180 grain head they come in right at 600 grains.  Shoot them out one of my 60lb bows.  I took a elk and quite a few deer with them in 09' and very happy with them.

I like the Beman MFX classics. With a 100 grain brass insert and 29" long they weigh 555 grains with a 125 grain point.

I have shot both, I dont like the Axis full metal jackets, the aluminum makes them weaker!  I know alot of you are probably thinking I am crazy, expecially since alot of you guys like the aluminum footers.  I hate aluminum anything, it is weak, bends.  And aluminum mixed in with the HIT system is bad juju.

HOWEVER, the axis and MFX classics are great shafts, I am just not partial to the full metal jackets, they can still bend when they hit something hard, and that is unexceptable.  I LOVE the MFX classics.  But like MRpenguin said they are kinda expensive, so I switched to Beeman ICS bowhunters.  They are pretty good!

I shoot Beman MFX 500s with 100 grains inserts and 125 grain points.  I just ordered some 600s for my longbow.  Good shafts.
