I would like to try a tab! I know everybody has there own personal preferance, just looking for some good suggestion's. What's your take on cordovon tabs? Seem's like a fella would get a better anchor with a tab! Thank's for the help, Jason

Steelhead

For the money I would say Bateman cordovan and Eagle flights new tab.

Lefty

I think Black Widow tab is the best there is.  I have used alot of the others and the bateman tab is good, but I tend to get some nock rub on my finger.  The BW tab has some leather to protect the side of your finger from this wear.  As far as the cordovan goes, it really make for a long lasting slick surface.  If you can find them the BW cordovan tabs are really great!  I have a couple extra lefty medium ones if you happen to be left handed. Still shooting the same one after two years and it is still as slick as when I got it and I shoot daily in all kinds of weather.

Cavalier tabs. There worth the money.

White Oak

I have tried alot of tabs and keep coming back to the Saunders Super Slick tabs. I prefer the looks of leather but I seem to get a more consistant release with these tabs. I am not even sure that they are available anymore. Not saying they are the best. Just work best for me.
Take care,

Bateman cordovan for me.  Don't cost too much, and they last a looooong time.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

Hard to beat a Bateman cordovan tab, been shooting the same tab for the last 4 years.

Doug in MN

As above tough to beat a Bateman the one I was just using is 4 years old.

I've been using Eagle Flight's Cordovan (split) tabs for about 4 years now and love 'em. Don is a sponsor here and makes them himself. Right now I am trying 3 under and bought/ordered  one of 3 Rivers Cordovan 3 under tabs (Don't see Don during the winter, to see if he had one - LOL) and so far it seems to be a fine tab also. Both are  real  Cordovan - ya hafta be careful 'bout that these days, I'm told, - some isn't, it's horse's butt, but not Cordovan tanned and therefor not as slick (or long lasting).

Make your own out of cordovan if you do not want the finger spacer. Cordovan lasts forever so once you get it cut down to fit you , your all  set.

I'll put my vote in for the Saunders PakTab. It is very versatile; can be set up several different ways with all the layers it comes with. It also does not require any breaking in period. It is ready to go from the first shot and lasts forever. It costs $10.

I have tried a bunch.  Including the BW hair and super leather tabs, Bateman and 6-7 more.  I like the Saunders pac tab the best so far; you can set it up a lot of ways.  The BW hair tab is nice, but I wear them out too fast.  I like cordovan, but have not found the right tab in cordovan yet.
