I tell ya besides meeting Biggie while he was standing guard over the Brothers of the Bow booth while they were getting mobbed...

...I really liked the ECO-DIPPER at the Winter Bow Shoppe, did anyone check this out? What a great way to seal your arrows with gasket lacquer! This is an awesome, clean, simple way to seal your wood arrows, cap dip or even stain em'!

What was your favorite part of you Kalamazoo Expo???

DEATHMASTER

Hands on seeing what people rave about on the sight and can see for yourself.

The cost of gas and the tolls took a bite from the wallet.

Could have bought more if not for that.

Getting to see my Trad brothers again. Every year
I go recharges my hope for good year with the bow

it sounds kind of goofy but the most impressive thing to me was seeing how many people that enjoy the same exact things that i do... in my small circle of friends at home i am the odd one out because i choose to limit my range with the gear i choose. and here i find a whole expo center of "odd" people ......i will be back next year... plus the kohannah curve won my heart so i gave it a home.

I got a freind converted to trad about 8 weeks ago. Sold him a bow, cheap. Sold him some arrows, cheap. Seeing the look on his face at the candy store for the first time yesterday, PRICELESS!

Come on someone has got to have some pics to share.

I got to meet  a bunch of the Southern boys, shoot new bows and meet new bowyers, heckle Bill Dunn (well, he is from Ohio), and got the new books from the Wensels and Mike Mitten. No high pressure sales, fun and smiles y'all.

Yeah, we chatted with the brothers and Mike a bit. Mike showed us some awesome footage thats going to be in the next Primal dreams thats coming out this summer. It is going to have some great music from Brule in it as well! Good times!

I checked out that eco dipper and thought it was a great system.

JohnI

I second the eco dipper makes finishing shafts a piece of cake.

The new flashlight at the Wensels table was pretty cool. Bob

I agree with Stickytoes "the most impressive thing to me was seeing how many people that enjoy the same exact things that i do... in my small circle of friends at home i am the odd one out because i choose to limit my range with the gear i choose. and here i find a whole expo center of "odd" people" I joined the Michigan Longbow association, I thought it was a class act with how they were working with the youngsters. It also renewed my interest in getting a new bow, sent out emails last night to a couple of bowyers with more questions !

Dan, welcome aboard the Michigan Longbow Association. Great bunch of folks for sure. Make sure you make it to their GLLI in August, its easily one of the best shoots you'll ever go to. Even better if you come for the weekend and camp.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

I got to say bye to Biggie on his way out and back home. Nice guy!
Talking with Barry Wensel in the dinner line was way too cool (Thank you Tracey and Dave). A lifetime of hunting experience in his words and eyes. I wanted to rub his head for luck but I think it would have gotten me in a bit of trouble, LOL!
I really enjoyed time with everyone that came my way. At times the St. Joe booth was packed and it was awesome!!  I wished there was more time to spend with everyone, seems at times it was a glancing "hello" or wave. Everyone around me feels like family, it's great!
Shooting my new S.J.R carbon /bamboo longbow is very, very awesome!! Tracey's bows are outstanding, this one feels like it has a ton of mojo. I have named it "Vader". I'm going to have to save up money for more arrows cause I'm slapping them right on top of each other. This bow is crazy accurate!
A couple more highlights was spending time with my mom, seeing my niece and nephew shoot at the MLA booth for the first time and the kid at the end of the expo who I got to teach how to shoot.   Hopefully the torch is passed!!
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

Bob was right on the flashlight was mighty fine

I bought one of the "MainBeam" flashlights from Barry. It seems to be of really high quality. I think I'm gonna' like it a lot.

Had a fantastic time talkin' to people. It was a good weekend.

Tim Fishell

Yup it was another great show.  I always enjoy going and seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  I was there Friday night and Saturday and spent more time talking with everybody than I did actually looking and shooting.  Now I am looking forward to Compton where I get to see most of them again.

Got to see old friends and make some new ones.

Introduced a new shooter to the world I enjoy.

Shot some sweet new bows, and drooled over some old bear stuff.

No purchases were in the budget this year, dropped a hunnert just for the trip, entry fee and eats. Well worth it!
