The dates for 2010 are April 30th; May 1st and 2nd. Pappy says he'll be there early in the week.My son and I went for the first time last year and had a great time. We stayed at a Super 8 on Holiday Drive and it wasn't that super for the price. I'm looking for suggestions for a place to stay for 5 days. We just need a clean place to shower and sleep with comfortable beds. If you've been to the classic before ; you know most of your time is spent there. Always something to do. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. hope to see you there.

We usually just camp out or take my dad's camper.  But pretty much anywhere you stay will be in the Clarksville area.  Of course, nashville isn't that far away but you probalby wouldn't want to drive that far.

I was there too, we stayed at the Days Inn, me and a buddy, came to $26 each for a double room, slept like a baby, continental breakfast and coffe too. Seemed like a pretty good deal

I live in Nashville, there are tons of hotels, between here and Clarksville, that can satisfy any taste.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn last year, just off the interstate and not far from the Days Inn. Kinda' pricey but a complete breakfast bar sure was nice.

The first year we stayed at the Days Inn. It might be better now but then it was dirty, old and had terrible beds.

I may buy a generator and pull my camper to the next Classic. This way I could come earlier and mentor the selfbow building guys more without paying so much for a room.

Thanks for the replies. Nothing like reviews from people who have ben there. The super 8 wasn't bad, but i thought $69 per night was a bit pricey for what it was. I figured if I got some input on others I could negotiate a good rate. We've pretty much stopped camping 20 years ago; I really like a clean bathroom and comfy bed, the ground gets awfully hard. Also it always rains at the Classic. Thanks again

Sorry, not sure I get the relevence to the thread. I can think of plenty of stereotypical movies/shows about Jersey. And Deliverence was filmed in GA, by the way.

One year that we stayed Pappy had arranged a discount with three hotels.Get in touch and ask him if a discount will be made available again this year.

Them New Jersey boys sure got purty mouths.

All in fun,no harm done.

The folks at the Tennessee Clasic are the nicest most helpful folks you will ever meet. Also very good shoot for the kids. This shoot is a regular vacation for my wife and kids every year.

We normally stay at the Hampton Inn due to my free points. The Hamps are always the same..... clean, comfy, and good continental breakfast. Bedding is top notch with plenty of pillow selection and good linens.

Eric, Sure hope you and Glenda come this year. Me and Mason may spend more time this year on primitive arrow building. Can you give us some pointers on that too ? Heck, after watching Jesse in the stone pit I may jump in and try that knapping thing too ? Mason learned a ton from him last year.

KY TJ,
If you are coming East on I-24 get off exit 11, ( Clarksville, TN ) and it is only 10 minutes from there. heck, may be closer for you to get off exit 4 and come the back roads since you are coming from KY. Pappy will post address I am sure and you can just gps it.

Hope you come and I can pick your brain on how to kill them monsters like your avatar ! NICE !
