ASBELL WOOL PULLOVERS .Does anyone know if this clothing is still for sale and have you used his product.

there are so many threads on this it's funny - yes and yes - it's good stuff - go to his website and take a look

I was getting ready to order one but noticed they didn't have the pattern I was most interested in with the hood. Looks like an excellent product, and the price new is less than a lot of similar products used.

I just got a Mackinaw last month, it awesome! Your best bet is to call and talk to teresa and find out what patterns are in as they very in weight! My Brown wool Mackinaw was the heaviest weight, love it for rabbit hunting!

I inquired, but haven't heard back yet, whether this is 100% or 80% wool.  Anyone know?

Coonbait

I have the hooded vest in the gray timber( lite weight for early fall cool days). Also the green mackinaw(heavier weight for cold days). When its burr burr cold I've been wearing the vest over the mackinaw and I stay toasty warm. Smoke I believe they are 100% wool. I believe the Asbel's are out of town so that could be why you haven't got a response back. Good people, nice product. Be sure to inquire about the different weights in the wool before you order.

I have the pull over no hood and it feels and looks to be 100% wool. I love the stuff.

Their material is either 80 or 85% wool, depending on what pattern and weight you get.

Generally how is the sizing? If you wear a large shirt should you get a large pullover if it's intended to go over 3 or 4 layars of clothing or a size bigger?

They are 100% wool and the Asbells are out of town.  I placed an order and there was a slight mixup in the order.  I sent an email and Teresa got back to me very quickly.  So I'm guessing regular orders are being handled by their person back in Michigan, but any problem solving is being done by Teresa.  Their products seem to be high quality construction and designed to layer.

Yes the Asbell's are in FL for the winter. I ordered a Mackinaw in Timber Ghost gray right after christmas and she said they were getting ready to leave for FL. but orders will be processed as usual. Great product. I wished the gray was a little heavier but will work good.

Make sure you speak with Teresa regarding your proper size...

She made me a perfect fitting quality pullover.

I got a Mackinaw a few weeks ago and I love it, but it was HUGE (seemed about 2XL). I ordered a large and am having it taken in (reduced in size). It is cheaper for me than paying freight there and back again (my mother is doign it for me). I would recommend discussing size in detail before ordering. Once again though - I do love it.

bama

Great looking stuff - will have to try

I have the same pattern as John3's but Teresa made mine with a over sized hood so I can use it with my Fedora. She also worked with me on the size. I told her I'm usually between a medium and large in most coats, and mine was made accordingly and shipped right away. I had mine within 4 days of calling. Superior service, and quality. I'll be ordering the Mackinaw system soon.
