Was out scouting, stumping, and shooting tree rats the other day when I hit a pretty good trail coming out of a thicket off the river.

Started up the trail to see where it lead and started coming across old scrapes and rubs. This went on for about a 1/2 mile until I ended up behind a pine thicket that boarders a feeder field.

From there the trails branched off in about 6 different directions. I took the one that head down towards a big draw when I happened upon these.

I have seen big rubs like this, except more tore up, in Kansas and New York but this is the largest tree I have seen one on around here.

The great bow twanged. The black arrow sped straight from the string, straight for the hollow
by the left breast where the foreleg was flung wide. In it smote and vanished, barb, shaft,
