I decided to buy some wool plaid to hunt with next year. I got this in the mail today. I like it alot. I have to add a button on the cuffs to get a snugger fit around the wrist. It's the lined stag from Woolrich, there on sale by the way. I'm gonna pick up the stag shirt/jac down the road. I may be putting some camo in the classifieds soon    ;)

Great! I like it, and it looks good enough to wear to church too.

Thanks guys. Charles I got it directly from Woolrich. Follow the link I'm giving you. It was $135 plus shipping. It fits great, I'll be able to layer underneath as well. The color is called olive buffalo.  http://www.woolrich.com/woolrich/browse/subCategory.jsp?icCategory=OS_cat10019&icSort=

Great looking shirt/jac!  Woolrich makes some great shirts.  I got a few that I've had for years and they haven't faded at all and still look new.  Except for one that got caught on barbed wire.      :banghead:    :(
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

I bought that same coat for my trip to Utah.  You will love that shirt-jac.  One of the warmest jackets i have ever worn.  And it blends in as well as any pattern of camo in the woods, great investment in hunting appearal.

Olive Buffalo sounds like a camo pattern to me.

It is a nice looking jacket, but I don't get the religion behind this plaid stuff.   Whether you buy a $135 cabela's hunting jack or $135 woolrich jacket, seems either way you are buying "special" clothes to wear hunting.

Of course plaid is camo - it's just cooler looking camo than that quasi-military stuff most of the guys on the hunting shows think they need to wear.

That said - one of these days I need to finish my ghillie coat (or poncho or whatever).

Here's the shirt/jac I said I was gonna get. I really like the color of this one. I wanted my lined one in this color but they don't offer it.

Very Nice! I've picked-up a Woolrich Shirt-Jac, a coat, and a hooded pullover since fall, pre-owned. I really like them. I'll get one of the Asbell hooded vests before next season also. I plan on making some pants out of a wool military blanket as soon as I figure out my sewing machine.

No religion to it partner...it looks a whole lot better to begin with; it's warmer, it doesn't cost as much as a bow and you don't have to pay royalties for a goofy looking camo pattern that isn't any better.     :saywhat:     And....you don't look like a cookie-cutter version of every dude on the outdoor channels.

By the way....some of us were wearing plaid wool before any of this designer camo stuff was even thought-up.
