Congrats on a the kill brother!!  That is a beautiful bow.  Is that walnut overlays?  Great pics.  I love that stone fence row.

Great job!
I'm not sure what the overlays are. i just picked this bow up in november from the classifieds. this was only the second trip I've had her in the woods.
The stone walls are everywhere down here

Thanks everyone. it was a cool hunt, I hope to get out next saturday for one last hurrah. I could hunt any morning, but it seems they are not moving at all in the AM and being in there will just do more damage than good. I really hope to take a nice fat doe and make a better shot this time.

As Ishiwannabe said, it was really cool to be able to use my grandfathers old BH. i have boxes of different Zwickeys from him and my father, but i found out Dad never shot the 4 blade. I hope to be able to take a deer with his 70# Grizzly some day, right no thats a little to "stout" for me.

I have had an awesome season and just can't believe how lucky I have been. Even with a less than Ideal shot we were able to find this deer without too much of a problem, except having to drag it back across a 25' wide, fast moving stream in 20 degree weather!

Thanks for letting me share this with all of you!

Nice buck,Cool story, That would be wild to see all of them deer in one sit.
I can't help but wonder when I see them old stone fences from out east. That is some cool history. How old do you think they are?
Thanks

Greg,

You dog!  Man, I keep putting off buying the CT license......and you keep hunting!

Sounds to me like you have some kind of weird "shrew" disease!!!

Way to go with that ol' Zwick.

Yeah, the only downside is that CT non-res license is now $200....but still worth it to be able to hunt all of Jan and then start again in mid sept!

Yeah, i am not a fan of the aluminum adaptor. They break if the deer runs off with the arrow in them, but 180grains are working so well now that the inserts stuffed with solder gets me there perfectly. i will be figuring something out using steel adaptors next year.

Great hunt and deer.
I love the rock wall, I bet the deer funnel because of the wall.
