Does anyone make brass inserts for 2613 or 2514 shafts

Kris

Not to my knowledge, but I also don't know of anyone using brass arrow inserts in aluminum arrows.  Is that what you mean?  Brass arrow inserts are for carbon arrows.

Brass inserts were made for carbons for many different reasons.I feel to help increase overall weight, tuning, and higher FOC for trad shooters. The brass inserts now like the 50 gr.,50-75&100gr. and the Axis/MFX,thats just 4 different sizes that will fit many carbons. There isn't many trad shooters shooting a 2613 or 2514 arrows. It really would be worth the cost of making some if there wouldn't be a big market for them.

I use brass inserts in my 2016 alum. arrows.  I also have some left over brass inserts that were for some Vapor V-max 3000 carbons and they are too big to fit any of my arrows now.  Not sure if they'll work for you but I can send them if you're interested.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

I know these things were intended for carbons but they serve the same purpose in alum. as far as FOC goes. They make them for shafts up to 23xx that I have found so far. I haven't used alum. much but giving it a try to see how they stack up thanks to Larry (Elkherder- who is laughing at me up there further in the post) By the way what do you use to set these things up buddy? I'm just trying it out, may not be the Elk arrows.

3rivers carries them for 2016-2117's but there are none for shafts that large. As stated earlier, no market for them.

Nice to know there are some around for alums (yes, quite a few of us still shoot them), but why they're made for some of the heavier alum shafts available, other than these are the shafts that trad shooters are "supposed" to shoot, is a bit of a mystery to me.  2117's and 340s don't need much help being heavy...

Still I suppose next time I order from 3R I'll get some 50 grainers for 2117s, if for no other reason than to be able to use 125 grain points & still get the spine I need for my bows.

Cripes, I just looked at  them, only 100 grain inserts for 2117's?!  They gotta be kidding!!!!
