Hi All:

Okay, here's your chance...

I am going to be doing a magazine interview with Rick Welch in a few weeks. I have some questions prepared, but I thought it would be interesting to poll TradGang members to see what's on your minds. If you had some one-on-one time with Rick, what is the ONE question you would ask him. The question can be about anything related to shooting technique, instruction/coaching, bow tuning, hunting, or competitive archery. However, you only get ONE question. What is it?

I'll filter through your responses and try to weave your interests into my interview with Rick.

Thanks,
Ron

How did your intrest in archery begin?
Steve.

Do you really take naps in treestands?

KellyBender

Rick, what do you think is the most misunderstood part of your method or what you teach?

Ghost Dancer

Is your phenomenal shooting ability readily learned and reproduced by others or is it largely due to innate natural ability or a combination of both?

bshunter

Which do you like to do more...hunt or shoot? because he is great at both

lt-m-grow

I like Kelly's questions!!!

I would add "Since you coach some many archers, what is the most common mistake or problem you notice?"

Tom Greenwald

What is your release "thought" for your release hand...what mental check or feel do you use to keep it CONSISTENT?

Greenie

Landshark160

Why do you prefer a glove over a tab?
Chris

katman

Ok, What is the most common error people make in trying to shoot your method when they have not been to your school?
shoot straight shoot often

Lowrider

You say a person does not have to shoot with 3 under to shoot your style, that they can shoot split finger if they like.  Do you still teach placing the cock feather on the tip of the nose and thumb nuckle touching the ear lobe if they shoot split finger?  By the way what magzine will this article be in?

nightowl1

When retuning for split to 3 under for archers what adjustment do you usually make with the bow? Nock point, brace height?

I came from nothing and I brought it with me.

How do you learn to focus and concentrate better. I have heard you teach  this, and read 80% is mental. Are there tricks or tips to improve concentration?
Out Door Dan

Hit-or-Miss

Did he learn the Apache Draw style of shooting from Larry Bamford, or other bowhunters, as this style (3 finger under or the Apache Draw as it was known for well over 100 years), was quite popular with archer's in the 60's and 70's?

NYRON

Good stuff, Guys. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks for your input.
